Savvas – better known as Savvy – is a HPC Systems Engineer & AI Researcher with a passion for creating useful software, to help improve our daily lives through the power of code.
He often finds himself engineering hardware as well, including printed circuit boards, 3D Prints / CAD, and regularly tinkers with Arduino and Raspberry Pi boards to make all sorts of cool stuff.

2004 Born in Nicosia, Cyprus.
2008 Started tinkering with a laptop
2010 Begun creating small robots with LEGO Mindstorms
2012 Learnt to 'code' with Scratch on a Raspberry Pi
2015 Learnt the basics of Python, and tinkered with other languages
2017 Started creating games with the Unity Game Engine (v2017.x)
2018 Engineered & Programmed a fast line following car for the Robotex 2018 Arduino Line following competition (LlamasInPyjamas Team)
2018 Official Winner of the Exclusive NASA & CSEO Cyprus Space Apps Challenge 2018 (ASRocket Team) - Certificate Hand-Signed by Anna Lee Fisher (astronaut)!
2018 Passed ECDL C++ Programming Course & Examinations with distinction
2019 Engineered & Programmed a new speedy line following car for the Robotex 2019 Arduino Line following competition (FastAndFurious Team)
2019 Interned at the RISE (Interactive Media Smart Systems and Emerging Technologies) Research Centre for STEM and Gaming
2019 Completed the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Certification
2020 Interned (once more!) at the RiseUP Research Centre on Interactive Media Smart Systems and Emerging Technologies & successfully completed the Gaming and Artificial Intelligence Scholars Program, with all requirements passed for graduation
2021 Passed Grade 5 ABRSM Music Theory
2021-present Joined the game development team at SCP United as a programmer
2021-present Founded DeGore, an AI Research startup company protecting over a million users worldwide
2022 Certified as the first ever STEAM Ambassador in Cyprus
2022 Certified as an Amateur Radio Operator
2023 Graduated from The Junior & Senior School
2023-2024 Served in the Cypriot Army for 14 months at a special forces unit
2024-present Studying Computer Science at Newcastle University
